One of the most important things you can do for your business is to create a good tech stack. Every faith-based coach needs one! But I know how overwhelming that can be. Where do you even start?
That is why I created this post!
You’ll find all my tech recommendations for the major areas of your coaching business. Are there other options out there? Yes, of course! But these are the ones that I found to work the best for my business and many of my clients use these program and apps too.

Website – WordPress & Lyrical Host
Yes, there are many other website platforms are out there, but WordPress is still my go-to. I love it because it’s open source. You can build any kind of website you want! Personally, I built my hobby blog, my business website and nearly 30 client websites on WordPress. It has served me well for over 14 years.
WordPress is free but you’ll need a host and a domain name. Lyrical Host is my recommedation for hosting. You can learn more about it and my recommendation for domain names in Questions to Ask Before Choosing Your Hosting Company.
You’ll also be able to install a variety of plugins that can make your website more powerful, efficient, and secure.
Website Builder – Elementor
Elementor* gives you full control over the design of your website. With Elementor I can design websites to look exactly how I or my clients want them to look. It’s so easy! Very rarely do I need to add any custom coding. Which means it’s easy for my clients to go and edit their own websites. We love it!
Graphic Design Program – Canva Pro
You can use Canva for almost all your business’s graphic design needs. From social media images to presentation slides to Reels for Instagram. Canva can do it all! And it’s only becoming more powerful every day.
Connecting with Clients – Zoom
You’ll want to be able to connect with your clients for discovery calls, coaching sessions, or workshops. And Zoom is my favorite way to do that! If you’re just starting out you can have calls up to 40 minutes for free. Then when you have more steady income from clients you can upgrade to the paid plan so that you can have longer calls when needed.
Email Automation – Mailerlite
Building an email list is so important for every faith-based coach. You always want to connect with your community no matter what is going on in the digital world—like Facebook or Instagram going down for the day. Email will enable you to do that.
And Mailerlite* is my go-to email provider! They have a very generous free plan which allows you up to 1000 subscribers and the ability to create automations! Automations make it easy to deliver a freebie or content upgrade and then send your new subscribers to a welcome sequence where they can get to know more about you and your services.
Client Management – Dubsado
You’ll need a way to manage all your client projects and Dubsado* makes this so easy! You can create your lead capture forms, contracts, and invoices all in one place.
And if you go with the Premier Plan you get a scheduler so that clients can easily book calls with you. You can see one in action on my Two Days to Launch sales page. With the Premier Plan, you also get the capability to create workflows that can make life so much easier!
Selling Courses or Digital Products – Podia
If you plan on adding digital products or courses to your business, then Podia* is a terrific platform to add to your tech stack. I use it for all my digital products and courses.
While it is possible to build a course platform on a WordPress website, I recommend Podia because it makes everything so seamless. It integrates well with Mailerlite and lots of other email providers like Convertkit. And it’s easy to connect to Stripe and PayPal to collect payments.
My second choice for course and digital products would be Membervault. Many of my clients use it and I find it very easy to work with.
Communication – Loom
When you need to give a visual example whether it’s to your clients or your team members, Loom makes it easy! You can screen share to walk people through exactly what you want them to do.
You can also record yourself or a presentation to create a course or masterclass content for your community.
I use Loom often with clients to walk them through their website mockup and my clients will respond in Loom with their feedback. And I use Loom to record how-to videos for my clients or to include with the digital products I sell.
Video Hosting – Vimeo
If you plan to create video content for your courses or to share them with clients, Vimeo is the perfect place to host your videos. You can control the look of the player, and which videos, if any, play after your video. Vimeo also provides closed captions and transcripts of your videos which make them more accessible for your clients.
General Admin – Google Docs, Sheets, Voice, Drive
Google offers a variety of free tools that can be helpful for your business.
For storing and sharing files with your clients and team, Google Drive is perfect! You can store quite a bit for free and the paid version is relatively cheap at 200GB for 2.99/month.
If you want a phone number for work, try out Google Voice. You’ll get a new number you can use from your current phone. This way you don’t have to give out your personal cell phone number to clients.
I also love that Google Voice will transcribe voice messages for you so that you don’t have to listen to them. I also get copies of my texts sent to my email, which makes it much easier to access any files or images that clients send via text.
If you want to get rid of WORD or Excel, try Google Sheets and Docs as both are free and so much easier to use than the Microsoft versions.
Social Media Promotion – Social Bee
If social media is part of your strategy, I highly recommend Social Bee. It works with all the major platforms – Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter.
You can organize your posts by categories. You can also create variations of your posts. Social Bee also has a calendar so that you can create a calendar for your post categories.
SEO – Keywords Everywhere
To help you Search Engine Optimize your website, I highly recommend Keywords Everywhere for keyword research. Keywords Everywhere is a Chrome extension that will allow you to type the keyword you are researching into Google and then see the results. This will help you to decide if this is a keyword worth pursuing.
This list is my tech stack and like I said earlier many of my clients use this exact tech stack as well. These products have served us well in our businesses and I hope you’ll find something that will help you create your tech stack too.
