6 Values that My Company Stands For

Understanding and embodying your brand’s core values is a must if you want to establish a meaningful and impactful online presence.

People want to know what you stand for, and what you believe in, They want to know if your values align with theirs. And your potential clients want to know they are spending their money with someone they really resonate with.

This is especially true for faith-based business coaches and service providers. Your values not only guide decision-making in your business but they can really help you connect with your audience because you’re showing you understand them and what is important to them – living a life that pleases the Lord.

I always encourage my clients to include their values on their About page. Make it easy for your community to learn what you stand for.

You also want to infuse your values in your copy throughout your website. So when writing for your website make sure that nothing you write contradicts your values. What you write should support and demonstrate your values.

Remember that being clear on what your brand values are not only sets you apart online, it will also enable you to attract the people that you want to attract to your business.

If you’re very heart-based and family-first, you don’t want to attract people who are all about the hustle. It’s ok to be about the hustle – but those aren’t your people. And they wouldn’t be a good fit to work with you.

In this blog post, I will share my company’s values in the hope that it will inspire you to take the time to establish the values for your brand too. You can include as many as you want, but 3 to 5 is a good place to start.

Faith

My faith is important to me. I have to admit it wasn’t always. I ran from it all for many years. While I would never deny being a Christian, I wasn’t actively walking with the Lord. And now I am. My faith is truly a part of my life.

What this means business-wise is that I pray for my clients and over the work I do for them. I want the work I do to be a blessing to their business and for it to help them reach their business goals. I also pray over business decisions and seek the Lord’s guidance in all I do.

It is also very important to me to respect everyone’s right to freedom of religion, even if that religion is different from my own. Everyone should be able to worship God how (or if) they choose.

Family

I started my business so I could have more time with my family. And it’s now my mission to help other women do the same!

I spent many years in retail working holidays and having to fight to get days off for family events. So having the freedom to control my own schedule so that I can be there for my family and friends is a priority for me.

My family will always come before my business and I understand and support my clients with their desire for the same kind of life.

Margins

I believe in working hard and giving my all to any task I do, but I am not about the hustle. There are times it is needed, but the hustle is not a way of life for me. I know that it is for some people out there and that is 100% ok.

Everyone has different ideas of what they want their life to look like. For me, I want simplicity and very wide margins.

Collaboration

Your business is important to me. I want to see you and it grow and succeed!

I will be there to cheer you on and be excited for you when you succeed. And I’ll be there to help figure things out when they aren’t going just the way you hoped.

I believe in being your business partner. When it comes to the work I do for you, it’s not my way or the highway. I love to hear suggestions and input from my clients – they know their brand and business best! But I will be direct and tell you if I think something is bad for user experience or accessibility because I know how important those things are to the success of your business.

I also believe in empowering my clients by providing them with the tools they need to make edits and tweaks to their websites. I do not want my clients ever to feel like their business is being held hostage.

Learning

One of my clients has a saying, “If I’m not learning, then I’m not living.” And this is exactly how I feel.

I’m committed to growing my skills and learning more every day so that I can better serve my clients. And simply because I love learning new things!

Community

I believe in community over competition. There is no possible way that I could design every website for every person out there. Nor would I be the best person for many businesses. This is one reason why I don’t see my fellow web designers as my competition, they are my people! And I support and cheer for them! There is enough work out there for all of us to be successful.

And I love seeing other women succeed and I especially love helping them succeed!

These are the values that are important to me. And because I and my business embody these values, I’m able to attract clients with similar values. This makes working together wonderful because my clients respect my needs, like wide margins, because they also want that for themselves!

Clearly communicating your values can attract like-minded clients who resonate with your mission and vision. Don’t forget that your values are more than just words—they are the heart of your brand and the driving force behind your success.

As you and your business continue to grow and evolve, let your values guide you. They will help you navigate through challenges, inspire you in moments of doubt, and keep you grounded in your purpose of living for the Lord.

Embrace your values! Then watch as they transform your business and touch the lives of those you serve.
