Are you thinking about creating an online course? With so many valuable tools out there, designing and putting together course content for your customers is easier and more stress-free than ever. Here are the tools that I use that will help you create an online course that is perfect for your audience.
Best Tools to Create Your Online Course
Podia for Checkout and Delivery
As a creator, you have a lot of different options for selling online. Podia is one of my favorite tools for checkout and delivery of courses and other digital products. You can easily take payments before you even launch, create bundles and offers for multiple courses, and more. Their online site builder makes it easy to create beautiful sales pages and live previews to make the process seamless.
I use Podia to help with checkout and deliver course content to my users. Their intuitive tools and helpful checkout security make it easy for me to get paid and allow my users to access their content right away. You can try an integrate a bunch of different plugins or Woocommerce to get your checkout process to work well on WordPress, but Podia simplifies the process for me.
Loom for Video Content
Loom lets you record quick videos of your screen and your camera to make courses a more personalized and interactive experience. Loom is my favorite tool for creating videos. Loom gives you the same benefits of fancy screen sharing software and high-quality video sharing, but it’s free! They also have helpful resources to help you create videos that resonate with your audience.
I use Loom to show my viewers instead of just being a talking head in front of a camera. By allowing them to see my screen, I can walk them through a step-by-step process, show them information in a more digestible way, or help them solve a problem. This is especially great for coaches who do one-on-one calls or special coaching sessions with their course.
Canva for Graphic Design
When creating your own worksheets, PDFs, slides, and other graphics, you can’t go wrong with Canva. While their premium option has a lot of helpful and valuable added features such as stock photos, unique graphics, and more, you can still do a lot with the free version. Using their templates, you can lay the groundwork for your course and even use your own HEX codes to match everything perfectly.
While having some simple design skills can help you elevate your graphics in a new way, you don’t need Photoshop to create design elements for your course or pay for an expensive subscription. I use Canva in my day-to-day business operations, and it’s my first stop when making things for online courses.
Elementor for Sales Page Creation
If you want to create a beautiful sales page, Elementor is the best option! Elementor is a flexible page builder with drag and drop widgets with many custom templates to help you build a sales page tailored to your course and product offering. You can customize the templates in Elementor to create infinite possibilities and make them fit your business.
When it comes to building sales pages, you don’t have to build your code from scratch, which makes Elementor so useful! Being able to control and design something yourself that is customizable without knowing code is huge in the online course world! Plus, you can easily change your sales pages as your course grows with you!
Convertkit for Email
Whether it’s keeping your students on task or just trying to make sure that you are giving out things like passwords and login access, Convertkit is the best way to send emails. Using Convertkit, you can create smart funnels and make signing up easy. This will not only help you keep track of the people who have registered for your course but continue to connect with them long after they have finished eating up your valuable content.
Convertkit’s automations are simple to set up and make it easy to grow your audience with email marketing! Their plans are flexible to help you kick off the promotion of your course without sinking a ton of money into an email marketing campaign system you won’t be able to afford. I use this to keep in contact with my email list and send out monthly newsletters.
There are so many great tools out there for making online courses. With these innovative tools, you can provide an excellent experience for your customers and help leave a lasting impression on them long after they’ve finished your course. You don’t have to be a professional designer or even a technology expert to use these tools, but they do make you feel like one!
