Have you ever wondered what it would be like to work with a web designer on a custom website project? Well, I’m here to give you a peek into what it would be like to work me on a custom project! This will take you right through onboarding to the launch of your new website as well as how we can work together after your launch!

Onboarding & Pre-Work

Once you have accepted my proposal, signed your contract, and paid your deposit you are officially on board!

I will send you a welcome packet that tells you all about the company, gives an overview of the project timeline, and includes important details and links for our project. Be sure to give it a thorough read!

If needed, I’ll also provide you with a Copy Framework Document and Sample Wire Frame PDFs which will help walk you through writing the copy for your new/redesigned website.

Your pre-work is ensuring that I have all copy, branding assets, headshots, and other branding images by our agreed-upon start date. If I don’t have these items by our start date, then we I won’t be able to start and you will need to reschedule your project! We definitely don’t want that!

My pre-work will be analyzing your current website (if you have one) to see what we can do on your re-designed site to improve the user experience. I’ll also be looking at your customer data so I can create user personas as well as researching your competitors to see what we can do better!

Strategy & Kick-Off Call

On our strategy and kick-off call, we’re going to deep dive into your business goals and how your website can help you to reach those goals.

We also look at the results of my website analysis and competitor research.

This information will help us to create the strategy for your new or redesigned website.

Design

I start by designing the homepage as this page will inform the look of the rest of your website. The design will be based on the strategy we created as well as the branding you provide. I work with a one-concept modal which means you will have one concept for each page.

Once the two rounds of edits are complete on the homepage, I design the mock-ups for the remaining pages. You will have two rounds of edits per page.

Development

The build begins! Now we will see all our hard work come to life! This phase includes testing everything out to make sure everything works before you launch.

Launch

On our final review call, we’ll walk through the site to make sure that everything works and then I hand the “keys” over to you. You can then launch your beautiful and strategic new website that positions you as the authority and expert in your niche! I also provide access to “How to” videos to show you how to maintain and update your new site. And all my custom web design packages include 30 days of tech support after the handover of the website. I’ll keep up with any updates the website needs during this time as well as fix any tech issues that may arise.

Maintenance

I offer ongoing website maintenance and support for my web design clients – so we can keep working together! And you won’t have to worry about your new website! I’ll make use that the plugins are kept updated, and regular back-ups are taken of your website. My maintenance package also includes up to 30 minutes of small edits (updating links, changing out an image, etc.) to your website each month.
