Glenda came to me knowing that for her business to grow she needed an online home to introduce women to her ministry, increase brand awareness, and allow her to connect with her ideal audience.
She wanted a way for people to sign-up for her free workshops and a way to send invoices and take payment for her paid workshops.
She also knew she wanted to take advantage of email marketing to promote her workshops and nurture potential clients with her newsletter.
With Glenda's business being relatively new, we decided to go with a one-page website that could grow and evolve as her business grew and evolved.
Knowing that she wanted to take advantage of SEO, we added the ability to have a blog when she was ready to start one.
With the goal of increasing brand awareness, we included sections about Glenda, and her ministry as well as a "work with me" section.
We also highlighted her YouTube channel as a secondary way for potential clients to connect with her.
We integrated the website with Convertkit for her email sign ups. And we created a waitlist opportunity for her upcoming workshops.
We also integrated with Dubsado as a way for her to sell her coaching and workshop packages from the website.
Glenda provided me with her logo, brand colors, and fonts by our project start date.
The project kicks off with Glenda filling out her content collection document and then sending this and her branding elements over to me.
We then have a strategy call to dive deeper into Glenda’s goals for her business and how her new website can help her reach those goals. We also go over her branding and design aesthetic.
The design begins! I start by creating a simple coming soon page on Glenda’s new website featuring her new logo and directing visitors to follow her on social media until the site is live.
Then I start sourcing images, patterns, and illustrations that match the design aesthetics we discussed in the strategy call. Then I design a mock-up of the one-page website with two variations with different image and pattern options.
I present the design options to Glenda via Invision and Loom. She is then able to leave any edits and comments in Invision. We do two rounds of edits before we move to the development stage.
Now the fun really starts! I begin the build of the site based on the finalized mock-ups. I also install and set up all the needed plugins including, Yoast SEO, UpDraft, and Wordfence.
This phase includes setting up any integrations, testing everything, and a review with Glenda of the live website.
After testing and final review, we launch!
After making the website live, I set up Google Analytics and Google Search Console and connect both to the website.
Glenda also receives 30 days of post-launch tech support.
